Rather than launching straight into the next adventure, I thought I’d better explain the jump from Tokyo (Dec 2014) to Blue Mountains (Dec 2020). A sort of, intermission, if you like.
As we traveled and posted about our 2014 adventures, I slowly fell behind realtime and by the time we arrive home for Christmas, life got busy and I fell out of the habit of writing everyday. So unfortunately the blog ends abruptly in Tokyo.
Looking back, 6 years later, we can both see how much this 6 month break has positively impacted our lives. We were filled with inspiration, energy and ambition. I realised what my life can be like without the stress of work, and decided to cut back to 4 days a week. I took up painting classes and found another dimension to life.
But slowly, I have crept back to 5 days a week and after the year that was 2020, we knew it was time to quit work and seek out another adventure. This time for a year! (Check out the 2020 Adventure page for an outline of our plans)
And so, it’s been a long time in the planning but here we are- about to embark on the next adventure!
Loved reading your post. You’re writing is very poetic and photos magic. You’ll love reading this when you are old like me. Is this a new blog or part of the old one.
