We’re slowly easing into ‘holiday mode’. It always seems to take a week or so to completely unwind and disconnect from the hectic day to day.  We’ve started our road trip in a familiar place, Leura, Blue Mountains. With no pressure to run around and see everything, we can slow down and start living in the moment.   

It’s been perfect to spend lazy mornings having breakfast on the balcony underneath the wisteria vines, painting, reading or snoozing feet up on the couch. Each day we’d venture out and mooch through a book store, antique store or pop into a local art gallery. By early evening we’d jog around the leafy neighbourhood before settling down by the fire with a glass of wine, and a cottage full of baroque music.
